 International Ludwigsburg Dressage Festival 2021

23 – 26 September 2021
Schloss Monrepos

A premiere for Monrepos Castle

After 25 years of successful national tournaments and 75 years of club history, the Reit- und Fahrverein Ludwigsburg Schloss Monrepos is seeking to establish itself in the international event calendar. The idea of the first international dressage tournament in Ludwigsburg was conceived by Ullrich Kasselmann and the chairman of the club, Dr. Werner Hildenbrand. “I have been looking for a long time for a special setting to present top-class sport, Monrepos Castle and dressage are a wonderful combination, ” Ullrich Kasselmann explains.

Participants and visitors can look forward to great dressage, lifestyle and entertainment in front of the exclusive and special backdrop of Schloss Monrepos.

“The club is 100 per cent behind the project – the members are enthusiastic about this idea and will be fully committed. We are very proud of our long-held wish to host a event directly in front of the castle with a renowned partner like Ulli Kasselmann, ”said Dr. Hildenbrand.

Information about the programme

The schedule will include dressage classes for all levels of the sport, from amateurs and young riders up to Olympic level. The South German Horse Association is planning a foal auction at which promising German sport horses are presented and offered for sale.

As is customary with Horses and Dreams Entertainment events a colourful supporting program is also being developed. The local riding clubs around Ludwigsburg will be encouraged to perform their skills in a special showcase competition.

The parklands of the Monrepos domain will be used as an exhibition space and present traders from the lifestyle, equestrian, fashion and gastronomy sectors with the opportunity to offer their goods and products. The youngest guests are also catered for; a special children’s area with a corresponding entertainment program is part of the exhibition.
