23 Aug Save the Date: CDI Hagen whets the appetite for dressage in autumn
Hagen a.T.W. — The Kasselmann family traditionally opens the outdoor equestrian season with Horses & Dreams in April. Now athletes and friends of the sport can also look forward to an autumnal highlight at Hof Kasselmann in the Teutoburg Forest. From 21 to 24 September, the CDI Hagen offers national and international dressage competitions up to four-star level and an attractive programme for amateurs, young riders and top athletes. Originally, the event was planned as a replacement for the International Ludwigsburg Dressage Festival, which cannot take place at its usual location in the Domäne Monrepos in Baden-Württemberg this year. Thanks to the initiative and commitment of Ulli Kasselmann, the stand-in has now become an independent event with new ideas and the Osnabrücker Land region has been enriched by another attraction.
Dressage sport will be celebrated on four days in the large jumping stadium at Hof Kasselmann. The amateurs of the Ankumer Dressur Club, for whom the CDI is a great addition to the usual indoor season at the P.S.I. Sport- und Auktionszentrum Ankum, will kick things off. Ambitious amateurs can enter an Inter II, a short Grand Prix and a qualification for the ADC Amateur Cup Final at Horses & Dreams 2024. Two international tours at one- and four-star level round off the programme in the most difficult class for the professionals. Highlights are the Grand Prix Freestyle under floodlight on Saturday evening and the Grand Prix Special on Sunday. In addition, the CDI-U25 offers starting opportunities for ambitious young riders under the age of 25. Top international riders from home and abroad are expected. The sporting programme will be complemented by a DSP Hybrid Dressage Foal Auction on Saturday. After the great success of the “Her Majesties” auction in Ludwigsburg, the DSP Deutsches Sportpferd GmbH officials are more than motivated to be there in Hagen as well.
“In sporting terms, the CDI Hagen is one of the last top events in the European dressage calendar,” says organiser Francois Kasselmann. ” Our multi-faceted competition programme, however, allows us to offer not only the top riders but also the amateur and young riders one more amazing highlight to finish off the outdoor season.”
Entries are now open and closing 1 September. We look forward to welcoming you to Hof Kasselmann on one of the four show days, entry for visitors is free.
