After 25 years of successful national tournaments and 75 years of club history, the Reit- und Fahrverein Ludwigsburg Schloss Monrepos wanted to establish itself in the international event calendar. The idea of the first international dressage tournament in Ludwigsburg was conceived by Ullrich Kasselmann and the chairman of the club, Dr. Werner Hildenbrand. “I have been looking for a long time for a special setting to present top-class sport, Monrepos Castle and dressage are a wonderful combination, ” Ullrich Kasselmann explained at the 2021 premiere.
As one of the best-kept insider tips of the equestrian calendar, the four-day dressage festival attracts everything that has rank and name in the equestrian world: Olympic medallists, world and European champions, but also up-and-coming riders, amateurs or pony riders. The rare opportunity to ride on the dressage arena in front of Monrepos Castle, specifically laid out for the tournament, combined with a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful venue and warm hospitality, leads to an exclusive boutique show experience.
FREE entry every day!
Participants and visitors can look forward to great dressage sport, lifestyle and entertainment. The programme includes prestigious international competitions up to 4-star level as well as important national series for young horses and up-and-coming athletes.
From the state’s point of view, the event is particularly relevant because the final competitions of the Nuremberg BURG-POKAL for juniors and the Pony-Master Baden-Württemberg will be held. The Piaff-Förderpreis for dressage riders up to 25 years of age will also stop in Ludwigsburg for the first time. Since its inception in 2000, the series has already produced many top talents. The supporting programme will be supplemented by a DSP foal auction.
A catering area and an exhibition around equestrian sports and lifestyle under the large chestnut trees in front of the castle provide the perfect festival atmosphere for the whole family. Even the youngest visitors will get their money’s worth in the kids’ zone.
Entry is free on all four days, the event is well worth a visit!
