Covalliero Dressage Days: Hagener Saisonfinale mit Starbesetzung

(Hagen a.T.W.) After a great summer with top-class dressage sport and unparalleled Olympic Games, the focus of the equestrian world is once again on Hof Kasselmann this week: the ‘Covalliero Dressage Days’ from 26 to 29 September offer a wide-ranging sports programme with international tours up to four-star as well as national competitions for professionals and amateurs. The four-day event promises to be a worthy conclusion to the European outdoor season: Participants from 15 nations have announced their attendance, including several Olympic team riders and many other prominent names.

Team gold medallist Frederic Wandres will be at the start, as will Patrik Kittel (SWE), Juliette Ramel (SWE), Flore de Winne (BEL) and Anush Agarwalla (IND), who all represented their country’s colours in Paris. They will face the in-form German squad riders Katharina Hemmer, Ingrid Klimke, Matthias Rath, Bianca Nowag-Aulenbrock and Luca Sophia Collin. Hagen a.T.W. has also often proved to be a ‘happy place’ for Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier, Lisa Müller and Evelyn Eger. 22 pairs have entered the international four-star tour with a choice of Freestyle or Special, 15 combinations have entered the three-star tour with Grand Prix and Special. CDI1* and U25 competitions round off the international programme. But the national tours also have a strong line-up: Inter II and Short Grand Prix offer professionals the opportunity to present their young horses, while the amateur test and the Novice Rider competition are already regarded as the first qualifiers for the future final classics of the Ankumer Dressur Club and the Sparkasse Osnabrück 2025 Cup.

The sporting action gets underway next Thursday with the first national competition for members of the Ankum Dressage Club at 3.30 pm, with the international competition continuing on Friday morning with the CDI1* Prix St Georges. The online streaming portal ClipMyHorse.TV will be broadcasting from Friday to Sunday, but dressage fans are also welcome to visit Hof Kasselmann in person – admission is free and there will even be catering and shopping opportunities.
